摘要：Named entity recognition is a fundamental task in biomedical data mining. In this letter, a named entity recognition system based on CRFs （Conditional Random Fields） for biomedical texts is presented. The system makes extensive use of a diverse set of features, including local features, full text features and external resource features. All features incorporated in this system are described in detail, and the impacts of different feature sets on the performance of the system are evaluated. In order to improve the performance of system, post-processing modules are exploited to deal with the abbreviation phenomena, cascaded named entity and boundary errors identification. Evaluation on this system proved that the feature selection has important impact on the system performance, and the post-processing explored has an important contribution on system performance to achieve better resuits.

摘要：A novel Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) based Hidden Markov Module (HMM) for face recognition is presented in this letter. To improve the accuracy of HMM based face recognition algorithm, DWT is used to replace Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) for observation sequence ex- traction. Extensive experiments are conducted on two public databases and the results show that the proposed method can improve the accuracy significantly, especially when the face database is large and only few training images are available.

摘要：Based on a theoretical motion equation of encapsulated microbubbles within an ultrasound field, the subharmonic characterizations of microbubbles are optimally designed and analyzed by a computer aided design system. The effects of size, shell elasticity and acoustic pressure on subharmonic response of microbubbles are calculated theoretically to obtain the optimal parameters for nondestructive subharmonic imaging. In addition, microbubbles with different shell elasticity are prepared, and their subharmonic responses are measured in vitro. The results of theoretical calculation and acoustic measurement show that good subharmonic enhancement can be obtained by using the encapsulated microbubbles with the mean size of 3 μm, which were prepared from the surfactant solution with the proper ratio of shell material. It is also shown that the best operating acoustic pressure is 200 to 400 kPa for nondestructive subharmonic imaging based on such kind of microbubbles.
