摘要：In this paper, a new illumination system with ultra high performance (UHP) lamp is proposed for projection display. Parabolic reflector (PR) and compound parabolic retro-reflector (CPR) were jointly used to collect and collimate the light generated from UHP lamp. A polarization converter system (PCS) was used to increase the light efficiency of the projection display system. A beam transformer between PCS and 2f imaging systems was directly used to make the illumination meet the requirement of projection display system. With the consideration of the loss of reflection, the light efficiency in this projection display system was estimated to be 15.6%.

摘要：Underwater gliders are efficient mobile sensor platforms that can be deployed for months at a time, traveling thousands of kilometers. Here, we describe our development of a coastal 200 m deep underwater glider, which can serve as an ocean observatory platform operating in the East China Sea. Our glider is developed based on dynamic model analysis: steady flight equilibrium analysis gives the varied range of moving mass location for pitch control and the varied vehicle volume for buoyancy control; a stability analysis is made to discuss the relationship between the stability of glider motion and the location of glider wings and rudder by root locus investigation of glider longitudinal- and lateral-directional dynamics, respectively. There is a tradeoff between glider motion stability and control authority according to the specific glider mission requirements. The theoretical analysis provides guidelines for vehicle design, based on which we present the development progress of the zhejiang University (ZJU) glider. The mechanical, electrical, and software design of the glider is discussed in detail. The performances of glider key functional modules are validated by pressure tests individually; preliminary pool trials of the ZJU glider are also introduced, indicating that our glider functions well in water and can serve as a sensor platform for ocean sampling.

摘要：The current research of configurable product design mainly focuses on how to convert a predefined set of components into a valid set of product structures. With the scale and complexity of configurable products increasing, the interdependencies between customer demands and product structures grow up as well. The result is that existing product structures fails to satisfy the individual customer requirements and hence product variants are needed. This paper is aimed to build a bridge between customer demands and product structures in order to make demand-driven fast response design feasible. First of all, multi-hierarchical models of configurable product design are established with customer demand model, technical requirement model and product structure model. Then, the transition of multi-hierarchical models among customer demand model, technical requirement model and product structure model is solved with fuzzy analytic hierarchy process （FAHP） and the algorithm of multi-level matching. Finally, optimal structure according to the customer demands is obtained with the calculation of Euclidean distance and similarity of some cases. In practice, the configuration design of a clamping unit of injection molding machine successfully performs an optimal search strategy for the product variants with reasonable satisfaction to individual customer demands. The proposed method can automatically generate a configuration design with better alternatives for each product structures, and shorten the time of finding the configuration of a product.

摘要：The product configuration modeling is a key technology to realize configuration design. Most of the researches were mainly conducted focusing on how to establish a product configuration model, but were short of the consideration about the application scope and dynamic change features. In this paper, the reconfigurable modeling technology of similar-structure products configuration design is studied to enhance the generality and diversity of product configuration models, and to facilitate the dynamic upgrade of configuration models. The configuration components of products with similar structures are divided into sharable configuration components, essential configuration components and optional configuration components, so the construction of reconfigurable model of configuration design can be converted into the set operation of configuration components. The horizontal adjusting reconstruction of configuration model is carried out through the adding, replacing and deleting of configuration components, the vertical adjusting reconstruction of configuration model is carried out through the parametric deformation of configuration components, and the variable topological configuration model reconstruction can be realized through the transformation of partial structure of configuration components. Finally, NC machine products are used as an example to analyze and verify the reconfigurable modeling technology of products with similar structures. The speed of NC machine configuration design is found to be improved, and the number of NC machine configuration design models is decreased. And the reconfigurable design system of NC machine products is developed. The proposed modeling technology provides references for the processes, methods and steps of model reconstruction.

摘要：Design of general multivariable process controllers is an attractive and practical alternative to optimizing design by evolutionary algorithms (EAs) since it can be formulated as an optimization problem. A closed-loop particle swarm optimization (CLPSO) algorithm is proposed by mapping PSO elements into the closed-loop system based on control theories. At each time step, a proportional integral (PI) controller is used to calculate an updated inertia weight for each particle in swarms from its last fitness. With this modification, limitations caused by a uniform inertia weight for the whole population are avoided, and the particles have enough diversity. After the effectiveness, efficiency and robustness are tested by benchmark functions, CLPSO is applied to design a multivariable proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for a solvent dehydration tower in a chemical plant and has improved its performances.

摘要：This paper presents some techniques for synthesizing novel view for a virtual viewpoint from two given views cap-tured at different viewpoints to achieve both high quality and high efficiency. The whole process consists of three passes. The first pass recovers depth map. We formulate it as pixel labelling and propose a bisection approach to solve it. It is accomplished in log2n(n is the number of depth levels) steps,each of which involves a single graph cut computation. The second pass detects occluded pixels and reasons about their depth. It fits a foreground depth curve and a background depth curve using depth of nearby fore-ground and background pixels,and then distinguishes foreground and background pixels by minimizing a global energy,which involves only one graph cut computation. The third pass finds for each pixel in the novel view the corresponding pixels in the input views and computes its color. The whole process involves only a small number of graph cut computations,therefore it is efficient. And,visual artifacts in the synthesized view can be removed successfully by correcting depth of the occluded pixels. Experimental results demonstrate that both high quality and high efficiency are achieved by the proposed techniques.

摘要：A novel designed method for tunable wavelength microcavity organic electroluminescent diode (MOLED) based on the birefringence of liquid crystal was presented. By modulated the refractive index of liquid crystal, the device could radiate with different wavelength continuously. The simulated result showed that the tunable range could reach to 60 nm and the full width of half maximum is 5.5 nm. The device could be applied to wavelength converter and tunable light source.

摘要：We constructed a single C-Bezier curve with a shape parameter for G^2 joining two circular arcs. It was shown that an S-shaped transition curve, which is able to manage a broader scope about two circle radii than the Bezier curves, has no curvature extrema, while a C-shaped transition curve has a single curvature extremum. Regarding the two kinds of curves, specific algorithms were presented in detail, strict mathematical proofs were given, and the effectiveness of the method was shown by examples This method has the following three advantages： （1） the pattern is unified; （2） the parameter able to adjust the shape of the transition curve is available; （3） the transition curve is only a single segment, and the algorithm can be formulated as a low order equation to be solved for its positive root. These advantages make the method simple and easy to implement.

摘要：We develop a data driven method(probability model) to construct a composite shape descriptor by combining a pair of scale-based shape descriptors. The selection of a pair of scale-based shape descriptors is modeled as the computation of the union of two events, i.e.,retrieving similar shapes by using a single scale-based shape descriptor. The pair of scale-based shape descriptors with the highest probability forms the composite shape descriptor. Given a shape database, the composite shape descriptors for the shapes constitute a planar point set.A VoR-Tree of the planar point set is then used as an indexing structure for efficient query operation. Experiments and comparisons show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed composite shape descriptor.
