摘要：Real-time multi-media applications are increasingly mapped on modern embedded systems based on multiprocessor systems-on-chip （MPSoC）. Tasks of the applications need to be mapped on the MPSoC resources efficiently in order to satisity their performance constraints. Exploring all the possible mappings, i.e., tasks to resources combinations exhaustively may take days or weeks. Additionally, the exploration is performed at design-time, which cannot handle dynamism in applications and resources＇ status. A runtime mapping technique can cater for the dynamism but cannot guarantee for strict timing deadlines due to large computations involved at run-time. Thus, an approach performing feasible compute intensive exploration at design-time and using the explored results at run-time is required. This paper presents a solution in the same direction. Communicationaware design space exploration （CADSE） techniques have been proposed to explore different mapping options to be selected at run-time subject to desired performance and available MPSoC resources. Experiments show that the proposed techniques for exploration are faster over an exhaustive exploration and provides almost the same quality of results.

摘要：This paper presents a nonlinear robust control design method for a generic rotorcraft unmanned aerial vehicle(RUAV). The control objective is to let the RUAV track some pre-defined time-varying position and heading trajectories. The proposed controller employs feedback linearization process to realize the dynamic decoupling control and applies adaptive sliding mode control to compensate for the parametric uncertainties and external disturbances. The global asymptotical stability is proved via stability analysis. Compared with the cascaded controller, the proposed controller demonstrates a superior tracking performance and robustness through numerical simulation in the presence of parametric uncertainties and unknown disturbances.

摘要：This paper investigates the H∞ filtering problem for a class of linear continuous-time systems with both time delay and saturation. Such systems have time delay in their state equations and saturation in their output equations, and their process and measurement noises have unknown statistical characteristics and bounded energies. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theorem and the linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） technique, a generalized dynamic filter architecture is proposed, and a filter design method is developed. The linear H∞ filter designed by the method can guarantee the H∞ performance. The parameters of the designed filter can be obtained by solving a kind of LMI. An illustrative example shows that the design method proposed in this paper is very effective.

摘要：This paper focuses on the design of two-dimensional （2D） quadrantally symmetric finite impulse response （FIR） filters, and presents three very efficient algorithms for the weighted least squares （WLS） design with a weight matrix that assigns four different weights to four different frequency bands. The first algorithm seeks for iterative solutions to the matrix equation describing the optimality condition of the design problem. The second algorithm aims at the limit solution of the solution sequence to the first algorithm, analytically obtained by using matrix diagonalization techniques. The third algorithm belongs to the category of iterative reweighting techniques. It uses the second algorithm as its iteration core, and aims at reducing the maximum magnitude error of the filter by iteratively adjusting the four entry values of the weight matrix. Design examples are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithms.

摘要：An optimization model is constructed to formulate the maximization problem on the capacity of V-belt drive. The concavity,the monotonicity and the global optimality condition are studied for the objective function,and it is proved that the feasible region of the model is bounded,closed and convex under some design conditions. Then,a solution method,called an optimal segment algorithm,is developed to find the global maximizer of the model. Under four different design conditions,solution methods are presented respectively. Some real case studies are employed to demonstrate that the model and the algorithm in this paper are promising.

摘要：The theory of magnetic circuit design, the constitutive equations of a magneto-theological fluid, and the load properties of belt conveyors were used to design a magneto-rheological soft starter test-bed. The magnetic field distribution in the working gap was analyzed and the current-speed relationship was investigated. A mathematical model for the time response was deduced. The results show that a linear relationship between current and magnetic field is seen when the magnetic materials are not saturated and the magnetic field is uniform in the working section. The rotation speed of the driven shaft changes linearly with increasing time. The response is rapid and can be as short as milliseconds. This meets the starting requirements of belt conveyors.

摘要：V-shape hulls are widely used in peacekeeping efforts such as demining vehicles in order to deflect the blast energy and reduce the effects of mine blast. Blast resistant design and energy absorption enhancement of V-shape plates were carried out using finite element analysis package ABAQUS. Various geometries of V-shape plates with and without interlayer of materials like Al-foams and honeycomb were employed to analyze their effects on the deformation of the plate and applied stresses and strains. The results obtained show that application of metallic foams leads to better response of the plate and consequently results in more energy dissipation, less dame to vehicle and enhances crew survivability.

摘要：A new type of V-shaped photonic crystal fiber with elliptical air-holes is proposed to realize simultaneous high bire- fringence and nonlinearity at a wavelength of 1.55 μm. The full vector finite element method was adopted to investigate its characteristics, including birefringence, nonlinearity, and dispersion. The PCF exhibited a very high birefringence of 2.89x10-2 and very high nonlinear coefficient of 102.69 W-1 .km 1. In particular, there were two zero-dispersion wave- lengths （ZDWs） in the visible （X： 640-720 nm and Y： 730-760 nm） and near-infrared regions （X： 1050-1606 nm and Y： 850-1500 nm）. The combination of high birefringence and nonlinearity allowed the PCF to maintain the polarization state and generate a broadband super continuum, with potential applications in nonlinear optics.

摘要：Integrator forwarding is a recursive nonlinear design technique for the stabilization of feed-forward systems. However, this method still has some limitation. An improved design method is proposed to extend the field of application of this technique. This method is used to design a stabilizer for the inertia wheel pendulum system. Moreover, it is shown that the control Lyapunov function which is obtained from this method can also be used to design a globally asymptotically stabilizing controller with optimality.
