The length of the new device are analyzed in detail and compared with ordinary ones. The results show that the new splitter can be 10%-30% shorter than the ordinary splitters. We designed and fabricated a 1×16 splitter in K+/Na+ ion-exchanged BK7 glass. The length of the new designed splitter is 30-mm which is 85% of the length of an ordinary splitter.

Study on the Similarities and Differences of Body Measurement Terminology between ASTM and China GB Standard

They are similar on the measuring apparatus and GB has less measurements such as girth length and width measurements than ASTM and it lack across chest width back width total crotch length and shoulder slope which are important measurements in pattern making. ASTM classifies its standards according to the customers' size gender and age. So we think GB standard could make some modifications from these fields to satisfy the users.

In this paper firstly distributed-NC functions in the FMS environment are described. Then we present a design and development method of the real time distributed-NC that is on the basis of the re-coufigurable software and hardware platform and with an object-oriented model concept. Finally to verify the proposed method the distributed-NC software has been implemented in VC++ 6.0 and has been tested in connection with the different physical flexible manufacturing shops.
